On 3 July, 2026, FIDE Ethics & Disciplinary Commission published a ruling against the Former World Chess Champion, GM Vladimir Kramnik.
Kramnik was sanctioned inter alia with a worldwide ban of two (2) years from participating in any FIDE chess competition or being involved in any chess-related activity.
It is reported that Kramnik intends to report this ruling.
